I grew up with my home teams the KC Chiefs and the KC Royals. Great fans, great traditions, and the best Tailgates! Football is my ultimate passion, but I love baseball too. So, when life brought me to San Diego and experienced the energy and excitement for the Padres I fell in love with the team.

The game plan for Tailgate Chats. Simple. Chat about sports, I love talking about the play that just happened, the adversity, the superstitions, and of course, yelling at the TV about the play, and frankly I love talking about the “game” with anyone who wants to ‘chat’.

I also have opinions. Plenty of them.  But I'm not trying out for ESPN. I'm not a sports analyst. I'm not even a professional writer. I don't know every player's college stats. I'm not going to pretend I do. This isn’t about the top 10 plays of the game or the good and the bad.

The playbook includes team topics, banter on games ‘do you remember that game’ and when I can return to Kansas City to visit with family and friends and the occasional trip to Arrowhead for a Tailgate. Oh, I might try to change up the rotation and try something new… and I might fumble but the unexpected is what makes sports great.

I want more. I want to chat about the teams, the games, the history, the traditions, and the unexpected that comes with sports and mostly to connect and ‘chat’ with other fans. And mostly, I love what happens when sports give people something to talk about.  I'm doing something I love.  And I'm opening that part of my world up to anyone who wants to pull up a chair, share a story and talk sports.

Let's Chat!
